-
Q: What is the cost of a 6-week session?

-
Q: What books or training materials do I need?
-
-
A: Participants in our beginner classes use our SW Florida Spanish Level 1 Student Workbook. We provide sections of the Workbook in PDF form to participants at no cost. A printed version of the entire workbook can be purchased for $20 (plus $5 for shipping). For intermediate and advanced classes, instructors advise participants regarding what materials are required at the beginning of each session, since materials used over time change to align with class topics and current reading material.

Q: Can I enroll in an in-process class?
-
- Answers (Please note that we’re always happy to discuss placement and recommend the best starting point):
- Beginner: Our classes follow a six-week session format, and we do not start new beginner classes every session. At the beginner level, it is only possible to join a class that has already been in progress if you have enough prior Spanish to comfortably follow the material and participate without slowing the pace for the rest of the class. This helps protect the progress and learning experience of everyone involved.
- Intermediate: The same factors are true at the intermediate level as the beginner level. As long as a new participant does not slow the pace for the rest of the class, it is possible to join. But we believe that learning Spanish is not a linear process and it may be possible to join an in-process intermediate class without disrupting the flow. Consult us if you are unsure.
- Advanced: Advanced classes can be joined at any time.
- Answers (Please note that we’re always happy to discuss placement and recommend the best starting point):
Q: If I attend, will I receive academic credit?
-
-
A: We’re a non-credit Spanish program designed for adult learners. Our classes focus on practical language learning and personal enrichment rather than academic credit. While you won’t receive college or school credit, you’ll gain real conversational skills in a supportive learning environment.
-
Q: What technology do I need?
-
-
A: Since our classes are interactive, you’ll need a computer or tablet with a working microphone, a camera, and a stable internet connection for Zoom.
-
Q: Do you offer private lessons?
-
-
A: We aren’t accepting new private participants at this time because our instructors are currently focused on our high-engagement group sessions to ensure all participants get maximum “mic time.” We recommend Experienced Spanish Teachers Online for those seeking 1-on-1 tutoring.
